Urban Oasis: 1st Level/ King Bd/Train/Bus/Shops

Sufficient for a short stay. Grateful for the last minute booking. However lighting is very dim to get ready for outings. Recommend bringing a makeup light. Happy I packed a portable fan. No central air and no vent in the bathroom left rooms quite musty. This wasnt comfortable to me personally. It just felt damp, glad plenty of freshly washed towels were available bc used ones didn’t dry also my feather pillow I brought actually absorbed excess air moisture too. AC unit blew cold. Noise didn’t bother us like other reviewers we sometimes we turned up tv volume to compensate/used subtitles. Bed slept nice. Loved king size, soft duvet, wished it were more breathable. Water hot for showers. Unit Clean with a cute set up overall. Had most features we needed. Kitchen was appreciated since most our meals were eaten at airbb. Location: close to United Center and to visit friends but not convenient for downtown. Once figured out the Nearby parking is relatively easy. Beautiful suburbs.

The unit is a small efficiency as described and matches the photos. The location is excellent if you plan to spend time both in the city (easily accessible by car or train) and in the western suburbs. In addition, the area is walkable to lots of great bars, shops, and restaurants in downtown Oak Park, which is a nice destination. The unit is in an old building and is not particularly high-end but is clean and well-maintained. There is no overnight parking for non-residents on the street of the apartment building so you simply have to park one street over and register your license plate with an online parking app. The window air conditioner unit is loud (as others have described) but not louder than expected for a window AC unit, and it cools the apartment well. Laundry is listed as an amenity; however, the washer/dryer are NOT in the unit but are shared coin appliances in the building. 4 stars based on value, AC, laundry, and parking but would still recommend.
