With its bustling downtown and rich, sometimes spooky, history, the Village of Forest Park is a must-visit. You’ll find excellent and diverse restaurants, delicious bakeries, a beloved ice cream parlor, upscale taverns, and classic dive bars, as well as antique and vintage shops, unique boutiques, and an independently-owned guitar shop where you can build your own instrument.

All aboard for Franklin Park! Locomotive aficionados and casual tourists alike will love Franklin Park, a welcoming village that’s been a hub of rail transportation since its incorporation in 1892 — and before then, actually! The village had rail tracks and a train station by the mid-1870s. You can even visit Franklin Park’s historic switching tower, which is over a century old.

La Grange Park looks straight out of a Norman Rockwell painting with its tree-lined streets, family atmosphere, and historic homes with front porches you’ll want to sip iced tea on. The village is conveniently located just 13 miles from Chicago and lies next to La Grange, but you’ll want to stay put once you get there because La Grange Park is a slice of small-town heaven.

Schiller Park was named for the German singing groups that used to entertain Chicago families who gathered to picnic on weekends. It sits south of Rosemont, north of Franklin Park and River Grove, with Norridge to the east. Conveniently near both Interstates 294, 90/94 and O’Hare, it keeps almost as busy as the airport itself.
