Explore La Grange

With over 1,000 historic buildings and a lively downtown, the Village of La Grange is a family-friendly community with the perfect mix of historic character and modernity. La Grange is home to some of the most unique events imaginable, including the annual La Grange Pet Parade, which draws tens of thousands annually. The beloved parade started in 1947 in celebration of children and family pets. You’ll see plenty of each at the parade, as well as tumblers, marching bands, drill teams, and more. La Grange is also home to one of the biggest arts and crafts fairs in the Chicago area. For over 50 years, artists have been showing and selling their wares at the La Grange Craft Fair, which boasts over 200 different booths.

Stop by the La Grange farmers market during the summer months or see La Grange decked out in holiday style at Hometown Holidays, where Santa and Mrs. Claus make an appearance. Take a free self-guided walking tour of La Grange, exploring beautiful historic sites, through the La Grange Area Historical Society or snag tickets to one of the society’s roaring ‘20s murder mystery evenings, which are so fun they always sell out.

Make some time for relaxation, shopping and dining during your trip. Stop by Primal Oceans Salt Cave for a little rejuvenation and wellness, then shop til you drop at La Grange’s fashionable home and clothing boutiques and check out the excellent La Grange restaurant scene. You’ll love the award-winning donuts at D&D’s Place, go crazy over the Indian fusion at Kama Bistro and gladly spend your milk money at Milk Money Brewing.

No matter what you do, you can’t go wrong when you go to La Grange.
