Annual Audit and Tax Services
Explore Oak Park and Beyond (EOPB) is accepting proposals for annual audit and tax returns for its current fiscal year with automatic renewal upon agreement with both parties. EOPB has an annual operating budget of close to $1 million comprised of state and municipal funding, ARPA/Federal funding through Cook County, IL.
The EOPB is the official regional visitor’s bureau for 19 communities in western Cook County, IL. The mission of the bureau is to generate economic impact through tourism sales and marketing programs. The following are minimum requirements for the bid proposal:
- Consolidated financial statements of EOPB (501c6).
- As required by the state IOT tourism and Cook County/ARPA grant(s), Consolidated Year-End Financial Report (CYEFR), including an in-relation to opinion from the Auditor, and management letter must be completed. Audit the organization to verify compliance with the Illinois Office of Tourism (IOT). Audit the statement of financial position of EOPB, and related statements of activities, and cash flows – including schedules of revenue by source and expenses by source.
- Preparation of EOPB’s federal and state returns (990, IL AG-990 and subsequent statements and forms).
- Must be completed on time or appropriate extensions must be filed and any fines and/or fees associated with non-completion and/or submission of the appropriate audit and tax returns in the specified period will be covered by the accountant/accounting firm.
- The information collected is considered confidential and proprietary.
- Audit documentation for this engagement will be retained for a minimum of five years after the report release date.
- Business must be an independent certified public accountant or accounting firm licensed by the appropriate licensing body in accordance with applicable auditing standards.
- Audit reports must be prepared in hard copy and reviewed with the EOPB Executive Director, the Director of Finance and Administration and/or the Board Treasurer prior to completion. Final reports and letters must be prepared and submitted.
