What started as one cozy trattoria grew into a family of restaurants Grandma would be proud of. Today, Francesca’s can be found across Chicago, each rooted in the same hearty spirit and unmistakable warmth. And no matter how much we’ve grown, our approach has stayed the same: thoughtful ingredients, honest cooking, and an obsession with getting the details right — from how the pasta is made to how it’s served.

It all began in 1992 at Mia Francesca, our first location in Lake View. With a big dream, a few friends, and some borrowed cash from Grandma, chef Scott Harris opened the doors. Spoiler: it was a hit. But it wasn’t just about the food — it was about the feeling. Scott fell in love with Italian cuisine not only for its flavors, but for its simplicity, its soul, and its power to bring people together around the table.
Just over a half-mile walk from both the CTA Blue Line stop called Harlem and the CTA Green Line stop called Harlem/Lake, Francesca Fiore is conveniently located at 7407 Madison Street.
