Explore where the motto is "never had a bad one" (burger that is)
Goldyburgers is a Sports Bar & Family Restaurant established in 1926. When you walk up to Goldyburgers, you see the Old Style sign shift in the breeze and the word “Goldy’s” painted in green on the front door. Inside you hear the hiss of the grill, a soft onion sizzle, and the low clink of a long bar that has seen every kind of day. This is not a theme bar but a place that has the essence of a Chicago dive bar in the best sense of the word.

Founded during Prohibition by the Goldstein brothers, it originally operated as a speakeasy complete with a converted horse barn and chalkboards for horse racing scores. Brothers Mike and Terry Sullivan bought the establishment in 1981, preserving the classic recipes and laid-back family atmosphere. The interior features cozy, attractively aged vintage wooden booths and old-school Chicago charm. It's celebrated for its immense tree-filled courtyard in the back.
