Karen Gula is the owner of Lilett’ Candies. With a long background in fine chocolate and candy making, Gula built her shop into the gourmet candy shop you see today.
Gula studied chocolate and candy making at the Wilton School in Woodridge and built a wholesale chocolate business, which connected her with the chocolate community and the then-owners of the candy shop. She worked with those original owners, Jim and Lillian Manusos, often helping out in the candy kitchen.
She purchased Lilett’ from the Manusos in 2000 and ultimately moved the shop from Brookfield to La Grange.
Lilett’ Candies is located at 104 Calendar Avenue in La Grange. It is steps from the La Grange Road STop on the BNSF Metra Line.
