O'Sullivan's Public House

7244 Madison St.
Forest Park, IL 60130

Meet us where the beer garden is open all-year long

O'Sullivan's Public House is a Forest Park institution, known as much for its beautifully-restored building and beer garden as it is for its friendly pours and great bar food.

O'Sullivan's keeps things classic by repurposing exceptional historical features into modern amenities, keeping the building's original   and exquisite copper ceiling and terrazzo-tiled floor; the building was originally a roadhouse in the 1890s. A repurposed fireman's pole from an old  Chicago fire station now serves as the bar's footrest. The tables and chairs at O'Sullivan's came from The Berghoff, a legendary Chicago restaurant.

The outside is just as impressive as the inside. The all-season beer garden has a retractable roof, making for a comfortable experience no matter the weather.

Stop in for the daily specials, grab a bite to eat or just to admire how history and modernity can work together to create a great atmosphere. O'Sullivan's is a place worth seeing.

Brothers Jim and Dan Watts opened O’Sullivan’s Public House in 2003 alongside their childhood friend Matt Sullivan.

All three bar owners grew up in the area in large Irish families. Today, those families are often found at the bar, sipping drink specials in the heated beer garden.

Look for General Manager Anthony Crawford making historical cocktail behind the bar. Crawford was awarded the Dr. Frank Orland Award from the Historical Society of Forest Park for his mixology with a twist of history.
