Q-BBQ serves barbecue with regional flair, featuring styles served in Texas, Memphis, the Carolinas and Kansas City. Enjoy dry rubbed chicken wings, top-quality pork that’s pulled by hand, and brisket sliced into cubes of caramelized burnt ends.
Folks queue up for the brisket burnt ends, which are praised as ‘fall-off-the-fork tender.’ The Papa Q platter includes ribs, sausage, turkey, two kinds of wings, burnt ends, pulled pork, pulled chicken and four sides. The sides include mashed potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese, spicy Brussels sprouts and mouthwatering homemade cornbread. Sandwiches take the barbecue to the next level, holding all that 16-hour, slow-cooked meat and as many sauces as you can pile on.

Q-BBQ is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day.
For lunch and dinner, there are a wide range of price options. The BBQ meals, ranging from pulled pork and chicken to chopped brisket, cost between $12 and $18. Most sandwiches range from $8 - $12, and the signature brisket burnt ends sandwich costs $13.
More than a decade ago, owner Michael Lapidus was part of a small circle of friends who shared a vision for a modern version of an authentic BBQ restaurant that would feature quality food served in a quick casual setting.
Today with several restaurants in the Chicago area, their recipes have won several People’s Choice awards at the annual Chicago Ribfest.
Its mission is the same in each restaurant: sell reasons to come back. At Q, it’s a tradition that began when humans first gathered around a fire and smoked meats, told stories, and created the connections that started civilization. Q is proud to be a part of that tradition.
