For years, every date night turned into the same challenge — Thai or sushi? Noodles or nigiri? Curry or rolls? And they always wished there was a place where they didn’t have to choose. A place where everyone can enjoy authentic Thai flavors and fresh, handcrafted sushi in the same meal, at the same table, with the same great experience. That idea stayed drove them and became their mission.
White Crane was created to bring together the best of both worlds — the bold, comforting heat of Thai cuisine and the clean, delicate artistry of sushi. Two traditions. Two passions. One restaurant. Board Train: Take the CTA Blue Line train heading toward Forest Park from any downtown station.
Exit Station: Get off at the Harlem station (Forest Park branch).
Walk to Restaurant: Head north on Harlem Avenue for about two blocks to 819 S Harlem Ave.
Take I-290 W (Dwight D. Eisenhower Expressway) out of the city.
Exit: Take Exit 21B for IL-43 S / Harlem Avenue.
