This month may be the shortest of the year, but it's one of our favorites because there is so much to love about spending February in the Oak Park area. We've got swoon-worthy Valentine's Day events, Black History celebrations, Bite the Burbs restaurant week and so much more. A History of the Vivian G. Harsh Collection

In celebration of Black History Month, the Historical Society of Forest Park and the Forest Park Public Library have partnered up to bring by an archivist from the Chicago Public Library for an illuminating presentation on the history of the Vivian G. Harsh Collection, and an overview of some of the rich materials available for public research.
