4th of July Parade | July 4 at 10 a.m.
Find a spot along Ridgeland or Augusta Street to watch Oak Park’s annual Independence Day Parade. Local organizations that make Oak Park special, from social and special-interest groups to community organizations, will march along with street performers, pet lovers with their furry friends, and lively bands.
The parade begins at Longfellow Park, Ridgeland Avenue and Adams Street, at 10:00 a.m., turns east on Augusta Street, and eventually disperses near Whittier Elementary School, close to Harvey Avenue.
Brookfield
4th of July Parade & Party in the Park | July 4 at 10 a.m.
The Brookfield Fourth of July Parade begins at 10 a.m. July 4 from the intersection of Grand Boulevard and Garfield Avenue. Then Kiwanis Park (8820 Brookfield Ave.) hosts Party in the Park until 5 pm and NEW THIS YEAR: PARADE QUIET ZONE
New in 2026, the first block of the parade route, from Garfield Avenue to Jackson Avenue will be a quiet zone. Also new is an 8-team bags tournament! You can sign up your 2-person team onsite at the Party in the Park. The tournament will start at 1 p.m.

La Grange Country Club Fireworks | July 3
Gather in Waiola Park (500 S. Waiola Ave.) to watch fireworks launched from LaGrange Country Club at 9:30 pm on July 3rd
North Riverside
Independence Day Parade & Fireworks | July 4 at 10 a.m.
Start your day at 10 a.m. in North Riverside with the annual parade, kicking off at 9th Avenue and 26th Street before heading east on 26th Street to Veterans Park. The fun continues from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Commons Park (2401 South Des Plaines Avenue) with family-focused activities, food vendors, and the band Hello Weekend. The concert wraps up just before the sky lights up at 9:00 p.m. You can see the fireworks display from Riverside Golf Club at the Village Commons and along nearby sidewalks.
Riverside
Parade & Community Celebration | July 4 at 9 a.m.
Riverside has a full day of activities planned! Begin at the village’s historic water tower for the 48th Annual Independence Day 5K, which starts at 7:30 a.m. Then head to Longcommon Road to watch the parade—it kicks off at 9:00 a.m. and proceeds south. Then join Guthrie Park’s community celebration, featuring music, family-friendly activities, and plenty of burgers, hot dogs, and ice cream from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Westchester
Centennial 4th of July Parade | July 4 at 9:30 a.m.
Celebrate years of community, pride, and progress at Westchester’s Centennial 4th of July Parade. Entries include floats, marching bands, civic organizations, community groups, and local businesses. Following the parade route, festivities will wrap up at the Westchester Park District Community Park on Bond Street, where attendees can enjoy light refreshments and a free swim for residents.
